The aim of the Alcohol & You app is to provide accurate and up-to-date
alcohol related information to a target audience of those 18 years and over. This
information is presented in an easily accessible and interactive manner.
The Alcohol & You app was developed by the students of Athlone Institute of
Technology’s (AIT) BSc Software Design and BA Graphic Design programmes. It
was created as part of a student led alcohol awareness initiative in partnership with
the Midland Region Drug and Alcohol Task Force (MRDATF), Health Service
Executive (HSE), AIT Healthy Campus Initiative, and Foroige. The initiative was
funded by AIT’s School of Engineering and the Drugs Programme Unit in the
Department of Health.
